Essential Book for Head and Neck

It is extremely helpful for head and neck anatomy in dental school. It has all pertinent information and details summarized in a easy to read and highly organized manner. The images are smaller than I would like, but I can read the text just fine. I originally bought the Kindle version and the pictures were very blurry, so compared to that the book version is much better!

This book saved my life. We had some very difficult to understand lectures and let's just say I somewhat taught myself parts of head and neck anatomy. Without this book I would have been lost. Very concise and exactly what you're learning in lecture. I never prep for lectures, but reading this beforehand gave me an edge and a clue as to what was going on. Great buy and worth the money.

If you are going to collect or sell records you have to have DEADWAX

A very valuable book for collectors who want to know whether they are collecting the original record, or are collecting non-original pressings made by some other record company to look like the original--called repros. It's OK to want a $300. mint original record if that's what you want. Unfortunately, some collectors think they own that $300. record when they don't. The record seller could be a crook out to make a buck, or he could be ignorant and really think he has an original. This book solves the confusion. Now collectors can verify that their collections are originals and are worth what they claim. So far this is the only book that can assist the record buyer in purchasing what he wants--Original or repro. It also gives the seller a tool in which his inventory of records will be labeled and priced accurately. Before Dead Wax collectors did not know what to look for to determine if a record was original or not. A must for all record collectors and record sellers!!

VALUABLE BOOK THAT NEEDS MORE RECORDS INCLUDED

A worthwhile book as far it goes. I was able to find several of my very valuable records in the book. However, many valuable records were not included. I hope the author writes a 2nd edition and includes many more valuable records.

The service provided by this book in very much needed. Too many record sellers today are selling "bootleg" records on e-bay and passing them off as original pressings. This book would make it much more difficult for them to get away with this unethical practice. Also, because of the information provided in this book ethical sellers will be able to authenticate their valuable records prior to selling them.

Totally not very happy with the entire book

For the price I found this book to be so so and not very informative, considering the number of records out there that may be counterfeit. The explanation on the different variations were cloudy and also I could not find the email (told to email for changes) in the book. Totally not very happy with the entire book. It seems to have had more advertisement than information.

A Great History of Deregulation

This is a history book on deregulation as it happened in one company during the deregulation of tele-com. Any one who reads this will be jumping at the chance to take part in the current deregulation of gas and electric.

Inspirational reading and fast too!!

My wife, Sharon, and I are independent reps for Excel Communications and this is a terrific book to send to people who know nothing about Excel or network marketing. Network marketing is the wave of the future!! I am a slow reader; but I read this book in one day because it was so interesting that I could not put it down until I finished it! I am going to order a couple more of this book to send to friends!!!

Marketing For Excel

I picked this book up (for free), hoping it was a regular business book. The kind that describes the pluses and minuses of the business. Instead, its almost entirely a marketing tract for Excel. Nowhere are some of the hard questions asked
-- How competitive are Excel's telco products compared to other Long Distance companies ?
-- How many reps earn more than $30,000 a year from Excel ?
-- What % of reps drop out ? What % of people reach the higher levels shown in the book and how much money do they make ?
-- How much time does this entire activity take for a rep ?
-- What % of Excel's revenues come from Long distance service, and what % from rep fees ?
By covering only the successes and none of the failures, the book gives a distorted version of the truth.
This book seems like a clever way to get around the FTC's regulations about network marketing (which requires more disclosure) by having a supposedly independent book.
I can only conclude that anyone who's given the book 5 stars is themselves an Excel rep in some fashion, because theres no other logical reason for praising this book. Don't even read it, let alone buy it.

Compassion for Cats

This is a very touching story of a poor, elderly woman who spends her last few coins feeding all the stray cats in the neighborhood. It's a wonderful story to use to teach children about having compassion for animals and respect for the elderly. The book also shows how two lonely, elderly people eventually become friends and learn to respect each other, care for the neglected stray cats and feel compassion and sympathy for unwanted animals. I would highly recommend this book to everyone as it teaches lessons that many could benefit from learning in this society.

I asked my five-year-old granddaughter to pick out several books to read and check out from the public library. This is one of the ones she selected. We read all the library books but this one was our favorite and we read it over and over many times. She loved it so much that I promised to look for it on Amazon.com and buy her a copy if it was available. In this day when there are so many bright colorful pictures in books, I was delighted that she connected with the wonderful illustrations and heartfelt message of All the Cats in the World. I highly recommend this book!

Good Common Sense

This book is full of good common sense and remedies to try before the condition gets out of control. All aliments are listed alphabetically, with cause and remedies. Very easy to use and understand. One of the best natural healing books I have. Alot of remedies Grandmother knew but didn't pass on. I think it is a must for every household.

If teaching is not in your future plan. Don't buy this book. Please rent. This book is complete torture for me to read. But if you are planning to be a teacher. But the book, I might be great for you to refer to with all the laws and organizations you guys have. I gave it 4 stars because of the look of the textbook.

Michael E. Hasselmo is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Computational Neurophysiology Laboratory at Boston University, where he is also a faculty member in the Center for Memory and Brain and the Program in Neuroscience and principal investigator on grants from the National Institute of Mental Health and the Office of Naval Research.

Excellent text for undergraduate and graduate neuroscientists!

This is an awesome text book that brings together recent work over the last 15 years with preexisting learning and memory concepts. Short of reading 30 review papers, Hasselmo discusses key concepts that will ultimately shape the field of spatial memory, particularly the role of theta rhythm in the EEG. For any entry-level neuroscientist studying learning and memory, this is required reading to become up-to-date on the field.

Difficult but worth struggling through

This author is one of the foremost experts in memory and he really takes a lot of time to explain his theories and experimnts. I learned so much from my multiple reading of his book, it was well worth it. This is not easy reading for the lay person interested in the neurological underpinnings of memory but there is a lot to learn from this. If you have the drive to read the book a couple of times you will glean much.
