New twist to the Falling for your best friend’s little sister plot.

This book is my now my favorite by this author, as it was very entertaining. Cat Johnson gave her own unique spin on the familiar plot- Falling for your best friend’s little sister.
Though, Tara and Tace knew each other for years, they were certainly not friends and had tolerated each other only because of Tuck. Tuck is Tara’s big brother and Tace’s best friend. (Tuck is the hero from Book 1). Even though, Tace and Tara had nothing in common, they did find themselves in a similar position, as they both were dealing with unhealthy situations. Tace was trying to end his very unhealthy relationship with his ex-girlfriend. Tara, by her own creation, was dealing with the end of her fantasy love affair with her older, more mature neighbor, Logan.
In the 2nd book in this Series, it was hard to even like Tara, as she was very jealous of Logan and Emma’s budding romance. Tace was under the control of his very possessive ex-girlfriend, which made him across weak and not all desirable. So I was surprised on how quickly I got hooked on their story.
It was very interesting how the author got these two together. She did not take the common route, as most author’s do with the Little Sister plot. First of all, neither of these two had any secret past romantic feelings for each other, nor even found each other attractive. Tace saw his role with Tara, as that of her protector, and later, as her “instructor”. It was those conflicting roles, and his relationship with Tuck, that made for some thought provoking internal conversations for Tace. Tara was oblivious to Tace as a man, expect as a means to gain sexual experience. I liked that when they finally acknowledged their growing feelings for each other, they did not play any games and owned it.
With this Series, it has been a refreshing change, that none of the characters are millionaires. 4.5 Stars.

The third of Oklahoma Nights series

This is the third installment of Oklahoma Nights series with the continuing story of the attractive youthful girl in the second story who happens to be the original bull rider's sister. To complete her College degree in sports medicine she has to put in four weeks working the rodeo circuit. She is frustrated from losing out of her long term attraction to her brother's friend and boss to a mature woman in the previous story. Her car falls apart and another brother's friend and fellow bull rider offers to take her with him on the required rodeo events. As each rodeo is held, the girl discovers insight into both herself and the character of her ride until he gets hurt by a bull a week before her commitment is finished.
The story is enlightening as to how a young girl can switch from youthful frustration into attraction for a long time friend of her
brothers in the background of rodeo riding. It isn't if someone will get hurt but when either physically or romantically.

Three Weeks With a Bull Rider

Tara is trying very hard to prove that she is an adult, the man that she has always seen herself with recently has gotten married to that a ho from New York and to top everything else off her brand new car, for her anyway isn't working anymore.... Jace is trying to get away from his past namely being Jacqueline, so when the opportunity comes up to spend three weeks away from home he's all in even if that means carpooling with a woman who he argues with more than there's dirt in Oklahoma .... When these two finally stop with what's normal for them and start down a new "normal" is when you've really gotten into the meat of the story...Not gonna lie at first Tara was a bit whiny but by reading her story you get a much better picture of her, as for Jace you find out some wells really do run deep.....onto the next
