Finding Verity is a moving story about a young man's survival and search for truth.
After being abandoned by his mother, thirteen-year-old Puck Scarsi follows Fin, a homeless man, into the underground bowels of New York City.

Fin knows the tunnels are no place for teens, so he escorts Puck to Child Services. An escape from an abusive foster family, leads Puck to an unlikely adoption and early success as a novelist.
Ten years later, on a visit to Central Park, Puck rescues an elderly woman from a brutal attack. A friendship develops, and Puck reveals his troubled past and his longing to reconnect with Fin. One day, Puck returns to the tunnels in search of his friend.

I couldn't put it down

I don't know where to begin, this book captured my attention early and never let go. There was more than one mystery going on and I didn't see the ending coming at all. There were clues, but I never picked up on them.
I loved Puck, even as broken as he was, he was still a hero. I followed Puck through his trials, imaginary and real, trying to figure out what else happened to him to scar him even more than his awful childhood. And I loved Ellen for her kindness and gentleness with him. An unlikely pair, but they needed each other.
I knew there was something I was missing as I read, but even with the clues, I didn't figure it out. I finished this book at 2am because I had to know the ending and couldn't sleep until I did.
The characters were real people with everyday and extraordinary problems. Something we all can relate to. Some things in our lives affect only us, others affect many. So it is with this book.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
I should say that even though Ms. Nelson and I share the same last name, we are not related.

I love a great book that I can't put down

If you do anything get Finding Verity and you'll be happy you did. I started it at work one day because we were slow, continued it when I got home that night and finished it sitting in the parking lot the next morning before going into my office.
Finding Verity kepted me hooked throughout the whole book. I wanted to know what was going to happen one page after the next and never was I dissapointed. I loved all the characters, the story line, the beginning, the middle, and the end. I also see where there could be a sequel.
The author, Faith Friese Nelson did an awesome job writing this so do yourself favor and purchase Finding Verity. I promise you won't be dissapointed.

Good read!

Once I began the book, I had to keep trying to find time to get back to it. The author provides clues along the way to the "unknowns", but there were still surprises ... Story moves along well and keeps the reader engaged. Enjoyed it!
